Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards, has announced the signing Ghanaian striker Gilbert Fiamenyo.

The club said the striker will join the rest of the players in training ahead of the weekend action.

Ingwe has revealed that the former Hearts of Oak has joined the club on a two year deal set to keep him at the club until the 2018 season.

“AFC Leopards SC has confirmed signing of Ghanaian Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo for two seasons. He is expected to join the rest of the team on Friday 12/08/2016,” the club said in a statement.

Fiamenyo will be viewed as a replacement for Malian striker Ismaila Diarra who turned down the club’s offer during the mid-season window in what was a much publicized attempted move that ended up with the club reporting the player to Fifa for double signing.

The player is expected to be cleared ready to play as he has been a free agent therefore handing Ivan Minnaert a strong alternative in striking due to his experience that has also seen him feature for Swedish club Djuargardens IF current home to Kenyan international, Michael Olunga.

Leopards is set to face weekend opponents Kakamega Homeboyz away on Sunday.
