Thousands empowered and inspired at IYES 2016

The much-anticipated second edition of the International Youth Empowerment Summit (IYes), organised by the Brian Jones Outreach Ministry came off at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on the August 11 and 12, 2016.

Patrons, who participated in the summit, aimed at empowering, equipping, educating and strategically positioning the new generation to take over, described it as a huge success.

IYes kicked off with an opening remark from the deputy Minister of Education in charge of tertiary, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Other speakers and invited guests who graced the summit were Rev. Eastwood Anaba, a prolific international revivalist, former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Prophet Daniel Amoateng (UK), Dr. Randy Bediako, Prophet Samson Amoateng, Pastor Arnold and Dr.Michelle Mckiney.

Presenter Stacy Amoateng, movie stars John Dumelo, Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah, gospel artiste Supt. Kofi Sarpong, Willie n Mike, Joe Mettle, Funny face, Bismark the joke, and a host of many others were also present to grace the occasion.

The first day ended on a good note with a stunning performance by the one of the most celebrated praise leaders in Ghana, Francis Amo and an inspiring word by Prophet Daniel Amoateng titled “Get out”which set the place on fire”

This was after an inspiring morning session with words from Pastor. Timothy, Dr. Michelle, Majid Mitchel, John Dumelo and others.

The former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings encouraged the youth to be bold and consistent in chasing their dreams.

The president and visioneer Prophet Brian Amoateng honoured and awarded Okudzeto Ablakwah, Mr. Obuobia, Rev. Anaba and Mr. Akantoa for their contribution and support to IYES.

The first day recorded an average of about 800 people in both sessions and about 1600 people on the last night.

Planning for IYes 2017 has already begun as Brian Jones hopes to take the summit globally and from the city to city in coming year affecting many lives. Any form of support to this worthy cause is still welcome.
