Andre Ayew rule out for four months

Black Stars deputy captain and West Ham United player has been ruled out for the next four months following the injury he picked up against Chelsea on Monday night in the English Premier League.



Andre Ayew pulled up chasing Eden Hazard for a ball.

The sad news was announced on Twitter by the son of West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan.

Jack Sullivan tweeted that: “We are devastated that Ayew will be out for about four months. He needs surgery”.

The Ghanaian player will require surgery after sustaining an injury just 35 minutes into his Premier League debut for West Ham United.

Andre, who is West Ham’s record signing was chasing Eden Hazard for a ball when he appeared to have pulled his thigh muscle.

Andre Ayew joined West Ham United on a record transfer fee from Swansea City.
