But his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez 'never used' Justin Bieber for fame, according to People's sources.
The insider revealed: 'They're both young and have made mistakes, but she has never used him. He put their relationship out there way more than she ever did.'
Over the weekend, the former flames exchanged blows on Instagram with Selena, 24, accusing him of cheating and Justin, 22, telling the songstress she used him to 'get attention.'
Selena and Justin had a turbulent five-year on/off romance that ended in 2014.
Since their breakup, Justin has regularly posted throwback photos on his Instagram of the two during happier times.
