It seems like ages ago that Kim Kardashian planned a lavish wedding to Kris Humprhies that was broadcast on E1! with all the pomp and circumstance of a royal wedding. They divorced after 72 days, Kim kept the wedding presents and Humphries’ basketball career was destroyed because he was pereceived as a laughingstock and a distraction.

Reggie Bush won the Heisman Trophy as the nation’s best football player while at USC. Then he met Kim Kardashian. They were on again/off again for several years before calling it quits. Reggie has not turned out to be the player everyone envisioned he would be in the NFL, bouncing around the league. He also had his Heisman stripped after it was revealed he accepted money as an undergrad.

Jaden Smith started “dating” Kylie Kardashian when he was 14 years old. The two posed provocatively for Instagram. After the firestorm of criticism, Jaden stopped making movies for a time. He now sounds like a crazy person in all of his interviews.

Brandy’s little brother never really recovered from the infamous s*x tape that made Kim famous. While Kim became a mega-star, her costar messed around with a drug-addled Whitney Houston, tried to have a reality show that no one watched, and was branded creepy for making the video in the first place, even though it was probably Kris’ idea to tape it and sell it.

Nobody really cared who Scott Disick was before he hooked up with Kourtney. He has never been a nice guy, but being a rich and over-exposed guy has driven Scott to drink and use drugs. He has a ton of fame but has done nothing to earn it, and the ever-present photographers are documenting his every move, including his drinking problem and forays into rehab.

Rapper French Montana tweeted about how dumb the Kardashians were: “I don’t like the Kardashian show, it got every girl thinking she gonna marry a basketball player or some kinda entertainer.” But then he started dating Khloe, had to appear on the reality show and got into some famous feuds.

Lamar Odom was a successful basketball palyer and member of the Dream Team when he suddenly married Khloe after only knowing each other for a few months. After a while he became emeshed in drugs. Although Khloe expressed support, she and Kris also manipulated the media to paint him as the bad guy – until he overdosed and that gave them a new storyline. Guess who the hero of the overdose story will be? It’ll be Khloe, not Lamar.

Even the Kardashian men aren’t safe from the Kardashian women. Rob has been in virtual hiding for more than a year now, mostly due to his mother’s obsession with making Rob a reality star. His men’s sock collection flopped, his relationship with Rita Ora ended and he gained over 65 pounds.

Kanye was the biggest music superstar in the world (sorry Beyonce) when he hooked up with Kim. The famously reclusive West was very picky about the paparazzi and the costs of fame… then came Kim. Suddenly Kanye is not just ok being photographed, but also appears on their lame reality show on E! Is this the same guy who critiqued fame?
