PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES STUDENTS’ASSOCIATION OF GHANA (PUSAG) |
The criterion was based on sponsorship rewards, performance at Congress, social activities, responses from various students unions on state policies and social actions.
In a statement signed by the Executive Director, Kweku Opare Sabutey and copied to the media, students in these ranking includes the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG), Universities Students Association of Ghana (USAG), Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS), Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), Ghana Union of Polytechnic Students (GNUPS), National Association of Health Students in Ghana (NAHSAG) and the Regional Students Representative Council.
The ranking which is the maiden edition of the Institute seeks to promote activities of the students union and to challenge students to fight for a good course in their various carriers.
They also look at the active participation of students in organizing various activities and the level of maturity and discipline.
According to the statement, PUSAG has organized a peaceful congress during the year under preview and also managed to secure a whopping sponsorship from Unibank Ghana to organize its Annual Games and Entertainment Festival which is to run for five years and has been peaceful so far.
Through the effort of the Association, one of its members, The Central University Collage has been granted a full Presidential Charter from the John Mahama led administration.
The ranking also placed GNUPS as second followed by GRASAG and NUGS respectively.
Others who made it to the ranking include, TTAG, NAHSAG, USAG, Regional SRC and GUPS.
IPRAG Is a research based institution that focuses on strategic policies by organisations and governments in Africa that has an impact on the citizenry and the global community as a whole.
