Webster University Ghana, has introduced a new undergraduate programme, computer science, aimed at preparing students in solving deep multi-dimensional problems.

According to a release in Accra, Webster University Ghana, in an effort to maintain its lead in creating global citizens for individual excellence, has introduced a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

The programme is intended to prepare students to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts and principles of software and hardware systems in resolving profound problems.

Campus Director, Christa E. Sanders, commenting on the new programme said the course is to help students in the technological world.

“We are excited to introduce Computer Science as our latest undergraduate offering at Webster Ghana.

“The BSc in Computer Science is an outstanding and challenging programme that equips students with the computational thinking and problem solving skills needed to excel in a technology driven world.

“Today, digital literacy is an absolute must and students graduating from this programme will be highly in demand for the jobs of tomorrow,” she added.

The Campus Director maintained that at the end of the four-year programme, students will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills in the field of computer science.

“The programme will spark ingenuity and advance the way they think and relate to the world.”

Webster University is US based University based in St Louis, Missouri with international campuses in nine countries around the world on 4 continents.

Ghana is the first and only country in Africa to have a Webster campus.

Students have the option of studying abroad at any of the campuses in the network for a year and pay the Ghana campus tuition fee.

They also have the option of transferring permanently to the other campuses.

In addition to the newly introduced BSc Science programme, the Ghana campus offers Bachelor of Arts programme in Management, Media Communications and International Relations for its undergraduate course.

At the graduate level, the University offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master in International Relations.
