GAF cautions against illegal use of military uniforms

The Ghana Armed Forces says it is concerned about the illegal use of military equipment and uniforms, especially camouflage types, and other accoutrements by members of the public.

One major concern for the Ghana Armed Forces is the use of the uniforms by criminals to perpetrate crime, mostly robbery, fraud, illegal mining and extortion.


A statement issued by the directorate of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces says severe punitive measures will be taken against troops who engage in unauthorized disposal of their uniforms.

Additionally anyone caught using military uniforms illegally will be dealt with severely.
