In a new interview with EW, J. Law confesses that she has always wanted to direct, and now it's time to stop talking about it and actually do it.
"I've signed on to direct something called Project Delirium — it's based on this article about mental warfare in the 60s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong."
"Terribly wrong" sounds like an understatement, if this New Yorker article (called 'Operation Delirium')—exposing the effects of dangerous Nazi-created chemicals tested on U.S. soldiers around the Cold War—is in fact, the one she is referring to.
While this won't be the Silver Lining Playbook star's first film regarding mental health, her next project will foray into comedy, with Trainwreck star and BFF Amy Schumer. The jet skiing duo are working on a "raunchy" comedy script of their own, and while the pair both seem to have the classic pratfall down pat, this would be an enormous leap forward for women in Hollywood.
"I would love to direct—but I don't want to suck," the World's Highest Paid Actress concedes, but we can't imagine that anything she does would suck as much as that nasty gender pay gap….
