Barcelona look set to play at the Club World Cup without Brazilian sensation Neymar.

The Barcelona squad trained in Germany on Tuesday night ahead of their clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

During training, Neymar picked up a hamstring injury that certainly rules him out of the final Champions League encounter on Wednesday.
Neymar was unable to finish the training session and the Catalan media fear that he will also miss the Club World Cup later this month.

Barcelona will play their Club World Cup semi-final on December 17, with the final on December 20.

Neymar is also now expected to sit out the clash with Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga on Saturday.

The Brazilian has been in sensational form of late, particularly during Leo Messi’s injury lay-off.

Neymar is currently La Liga’s top goal scorer with 14 goals from 13 matches.

Leo Messi has already sent his well wishes to Neymar on Facebook, see below. The Argentine’s message was: “Stay strong Neymar Jr.! Tomorrow we play our last CL group game and we’ll try to get another victory!”
