Recruitment took place on facebook, where they promised Thai women well-paid employment opportunities in restaurants and spas, but instead forced them into prostitution in Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur.
The three traffickers are members of a gang which is believed to have forced hundreds of women into prostitution.

  • Recruitment tactics change with the times, and traffickers are often on the leading edge of technological and social trends.
