The Seventh–day Adventist Church is a very large Christian body that requires the services of highly talented and thorough-bred individuals who are willing to be used by God. Every five years, the leadership of the world-wide church meets to elect the world leaders.
Almost every continent or countries’ leaders also meet to do same after the world leaders are elected. The church in Ghana is no exception.
After the division of the church in Ghana into two unions: the Northern Ghana Union Mission and the Southern Ghana Union Conference last year, the Southern Ghana Union Conference is meeting for the first time to elect its officers for the next five years.
The Quinquennium Session as it is called is being held at the Women’s Multi-purpose Centre at the Valley View University, Oyibi.
The Session is with the theme, “Reach the World”, and it is from the 17th – the 21st of November, 2015.
The Session is preceded by reports from the various departments in the Union, and then followed by the formation of various committees, then a selection of a specialized committee to elect the various officers for the Southern Ghana Union Conference of the church.

The entire newly elected officers and the old officers with some officials from the West–Central Africa Division will have a joint service with the Valley View University Community church on the 21st of November to climax the session. At such time as this, God wants to choose noble men and women to pilot the work on earth at this level.
They need our prayers more earnestly now than before as we approach the scene of the advent of our Saviour and master Jesus Christ.
