Cote d’ Ivoire ends Ghana’s dream of qualifying for Rwanda 2016 CHAN tournament

The home based Black Stars team will not be playing in the CHAN 2016 tournament which will be staged in Rwanda after losing a 1-0 defeat to Cote d’ Ivoire in the final round of qualifiers on Friday.

Ghana having beaten the Ivorians counterpart 2-1 in the first leg in Ghana could not take advantage on that but suffered a painful one nil defeat in Abidjan to miss out of the qualifier .


They failed to qualify on the away goal rule after recording a 2-2 aggregate against Ivory Coast in the two legs.

The host struck in the first half to propel them to book a ticket for the continental competition.

The Black Stars who have qualified in the last their editions will now watch the competition on TV screens.
