Once a time, you were established under the leadership of the late former President, Professor Evans Atta Mills as part of his quota to expanding the frontiers of tertiary education in Ghana.

After years of hard work came, July 23, when you have finally chalked a major success with your first congregation. Adding to the significance of this day, is the history that, your Pioneer, the late Prof Mills was born in this same month, the 21st day and the fact that Ghana will celebrate 4 years since his demise tomorrow 24th.



*A minute of silence tomorrow will certainly tell of our acknowledgement to his vision towards education*

The National Union of Ghana Students, NUGS hereby salutes all your products for successfully completing their respective programmes of study, as well as the lecturers and the University management for their respective roles in this maiden success equation; not forgetting all graduates of other varsities.

We also wish to use this channel to call on the University authorities, the Ministry of Education, the National Council for Tertiary Education, and all stakeholders to expedite efforts to ensuring that all the facilities needed for the smooth running of the University are at arm's reach.

To the graduating students, we humbly call on you, in the spirit of the youth, to be more practical having acquired knowledge and skill. Put Ghana first in whatever decision or step you take and ensure that your society benefits from your exploits; Be circumspect in your choice of words, as you agree to disagree with fellow citizens ; Be open to new ideas and be innovative to accelerate national progress.
Finally, as Ghana inches to the polls, make a pledge to make Ghana more peaceful and more prosperous.
