Chelsea to set new club record with win over Bournemouth

Chelsea will set a new club record with 12 straight Premier League victories if they can find a way past Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth tomorrow.

The current crop matched the best winning streak in the club’s history against Crystal Palace on Saturday and will now have their sights set on Arsenal’s Premier League record.

The Gunners’ perfect streak lasted 13 games during the 2000-01 season and with the visit of the Cherries before a trip to Stoke, Antonio Conte will be confident his side can emulate Arsene Wenger’s men and write a new chapter in the Premier League history books.

John Terry is still unavailable but Eden Hazard is set to recover from the knee injury he suffered earlier this month. However, with a flurry of fixtures on the horizon, the Belgian winger may be rested rather than thrown in at the deep end.

Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante are both suspended, which means Conte will be forced to tweak his side.

Michy Batshuayi has been earmarked as the man most likely to fill in for Costa but Pedro represents an alternative, more mobile option.

Cesc Fabregas will be hopeful he has done enough to secure a place in midfield, having struggled for regular game time this season.

Howe must attempt to achieve a feat 11 of his managerial rivals have failed in recent weeks; stop Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.

Lewis Cook is a long term absentee but Junior Stanislas and Andrew Surman are closing in on a return to fitness.

Nathan Ake will be unavailable to play against his parent club due to the nature of is loan agreement.
