Management of the Ghana Cocoa Board has commended road engineers working on the Bekwai, New-Edubiase and Assin Nyankomase Cocoa road project sponsored by the Ghana Cocoa board for excellent work.
The excellent work done in the three communities, according to Dr. Stephen Opuni has boosted government’s confidence in the local road contractors.
Dr Opuni said this, whiles touring part of Ashanti and central region with Board Chairman of the Cocoa Board Samuel Ohene Agyekum to inspect progress of work by contractors working on government’s cocoa road projects.
He however, threatened to terminate the contract between government and Facol limited that is in charge of Dunkwa and Ayanfori road reconstruction cocoa project if they continue with their lackadaisical attitude towards work.
Addressing journalists at Dunkwa in the Upper Denkyira district of the central region he noted that, government will no longer tolerate any flimsy excuse by road contractor who sleep on their job.
