In their quest to achieve African glory in the CAF Confederation Cup, Mamelodi Sundowns are set to have their last training session in Ghana today, ahead of tomorrow’s game with Medeama SC.
Having won the Absa Premiership title and the Telkom Knockout in the domestic league this season, Downs are eying glory on the continent as well with the Confederation Cup, after last month’s exit from the prestigious CAF Champions League.
The Brazilians go into tomorrow’s game with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg game played at Lucas Moripe Stadium earlier this month.
According to Medeamaafmonline, Sundowns are scheduled to have their last training session at 3:00 pm today.
"Pitso Mosimane’s side will train at the Essipong Sports Statdium this afternoon as permitted by CAF ahead of the game tomorrow.
"Sundowns come into the game with a 3-1 advantage having capitalized on weak defending and loss of concentration in the space of seven minutes to score three goals against the Ghanaian side.
Medeama’s technical director Augustine Adotey however maintains the Mauve and Yellow side have what it takes to turn the game on its head and progress to the money zone of the CAF Confederation cup.
"The tie will come on tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Essipong Sports Stadium at 3:00PM."
