Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman failed to win the young player of the year award at Chelsea this season.
The 21-year-old missed out on the accolade which was won by 20-year-old English youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Loftus-Cheek fend off competition from the Ghanaian international who has enjoyed playing time at the Club especially in the second round of the season as well as Brazilian youngster Kennedy.
Baba was able to make 14 appearances for the blues, 10 of which he started coming on a substitute in the other three.
Loftus-Cheek on the other hand scored twice in 16 appearances for Chelsea this season.
The Black Stars left-back after a jerky start in the season capitalize on the injuries of French defender Kurt Zouma and team captain John Terry to warm himself into the Chelsea line-up.
He will be hoping to earn himself more playing time next season under new boss Antonio Conte.
The Ghanaian defender joined the former English Champions from German Bundesliga side Augsburg.
