Pentecost University has signed a memorandum of understanding with London South Bank University and ABE-UK. The two Universities together with the international professional body signed the official agreement to go into academic partnership to run top-up degree programmes targeted at ABE and HND holders.
The delegation from London South University, the brain behind the ABE programmes which PUC has been running for 5 years, officially signed a MoU for PUC to run the programme at the degree level. Students with HND would be offered the degree top up programmes to study at Pentecost University College. Ghanaians students who have obtained ABE Level 6 can now enroll at PUC to obtain a British degree in Ghana.
After three years of study, students would be awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) International Business Management. The course modules include: Strategic Management, Global Markets, Small & Medium sized- Enterprise, Decision Making, Business Creativity, Analytics Research Method and other relevant courses.
According to Professor Mike Molan, Dean of School of Business, London South Bank University, we are in a knowledge- based society therefore, practical/ vocational education to equip students for employable skills should be the main preoccupation of Universities when training students for the job market. This, London South Bank University has sought to do over the years with partner Universities like Pentecost University.
The Rector, Apostle Dr Walker, Who signed the document on behalf of PUC envisaged a Pentecost University which will be the best in West Africa and further remarked that this visit will establish a greater tie between London South Bank University and Pentecost University College. He further revealed the decision of the university to establish the college of Science & Technology.
The MoU signing will provide the framework for the two Universities to cooperate on academic programmes, carve out joint research activities as well as facilitate training and development of the students.
