Wife of Nigeria's President Aisha Buhari attends Crans Montana African Women's Forum in Brussels.

The African Women's Forum Special Meeting, which took place in Geneva in the framework of the Homeland & Global Security Forum in October 2015, notably addressed the issues related to the role of Women in the fight against violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism.

Reducing youths’ responsiveness to violent extremist rhetoric, enabling women to fight against violent extremist discourse in their families and communities, reinforcing the collaboration with civil society and notably women’s organizations, were at the centre of the debates.
