As part of measures to curb the spread of breast cancer diseases in the country, the Greater Accra zone of the Ghana Association of Health Training Institutions (GAHTI) has launched its beauty pageant project aimed at raising awareness on the disease.

The project dubbed “Face of GAHTI Ambassador of Health 2016” is a beauty pageant which seeks to unearth the most talented, bold and beautiful lady who stands out among other fifty contestants vying for the crown as the next face of GAHTI.

The launching forms part of GAHTI’s 16th week anniversary celebration slated for this April and promises an array of youthful fun-packed activities lined up to thrill patrons.

The winner and the face of GAHTI will champion the cause and promote breast cancer awareness creation including other health care related diseases in the country.

As a result, the winner will also assume office as an ambassador for the Breast Cancer International Ghana, a non-governmental organization known for breast cancer education, awareness creation and prevention in Ghana.

For her prize, the face of GAHTI takes home a cash prize of GH¢ 1,300 plus a brand new laptop.

The hunt for the next face of GAHTI keenly began with 50 beautiful ladies who are drawn from various health training institutions in Accra forming part of GAHTI’s membership.

Out of the 50 contestants competing for the crown, 20 of them have made it successful throughout the auditions during first round of the competition.

The 20 ladies will be opened to a series of tests in the subsequent rounds paving way for the final 5 who will be selected for the final round of the competition out of which the winner will emerge and be crowned as the next face of GAHTI.

The crowing of the face of GAHTI Ambassador of the Health 2016 show, which is the talk of the town, will come alive on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 6pm at the National Theatre in Accra.

It is the third edition in succession since its inception two years ago.

The event is being organized by the Greater Accra zone of GAHTI in collaboration with Magnate Entertainment Team (MET) and proudly sponsored by Breast Care International Ghana and others.

The coronation of this year’s face of GAHTI goes to climax a line-up of activities for the 16th week’s anniversary celebration of GAHTI’s on the theme: “The role of health trainees in prevention of breast cancer and promotion of peace”.

The 16th weeklong celebration of GAHTI comes with a lot of interesting activities like sports, quiz competitions, blood screening and donations, music shows and more.
