KNUST student arrested for robbery

The police in Kumasi have arrested and detained a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) together with a musician friend, for allegedly robbing a foreigner. The student, Reynold Ayim, and Muhammed Ali, alias “Rasta”, reportedly attacked the victim at knife point and seized his cash in both local and foreign currency – GHȼ 680 and £ 100, an iPhone and ATM Card.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Simon Denteh,said Edward Jones, arrived in Ghana for a visit on October 28, and was staying with a friend, also a foreigner, at the Kyirapatre Estate in Kumasi.
