International Women’s Day – Don’t Call Me Beautiful

In celebration of International Women’s day 2016, The African Women’s Development Fund is excited to partner with Alliance Francaise and renowned Ghanaian Photographer Nana Kofi Acquah to host a panel conversation on his exhibition "Don’t Call Me Beautiful", which celebrates the African woman’s resilience.

This informal and interactive discussion will discuss Nana Acquah’s exhibit and other pertinent topics such as stereotypical depictions of women in current social media trends, women’s rights, gender, arts and culture and feminism. There will also be readings by participants of the 2016 Writivism workshop which is to be held in Accra.
