| Presbyterian University College, Ghana Alumni gives back to Society |
The gesture from these PUCG Alumni is a demonstration of the University’s core values of training the Head, Heart and Hands of our students to pursue transformational projects that positively impact on society.
The orphanage which was founded some 30 years ago by Madam Victoria Samson is considered as the less privileged and less resourced in Shai Osu Doku district by social welfare standards.
The orphans whose age ranges from 6 months to 25 years were treated with Christmas carols, karaoke sessions, dance competitions, indoor games and many more.
The visit and presentation is the first activity of the foundation and it was done in fulfillment of their desire and quest to help improve the standard of living of less privileged kids and youth.

She further indicated that many of such activities will be replicated in similar orphanages across the country in the coming years as well as roll out their mentorship and re-skilling projects for less fortunate youth.
Items donated included bags of rice, cooking oil, cartons of milk and milo, bags of gari and sugar, drinkables, clothing and shoes, groceries, toiletries etc.
It was a joyous sight to see members and volunteers of the LoveSprings Charity Foundation competing in sack race, lime and spoon as well as some circle games. There was a break-out session where the orphans were taken through some Bible lessons and were encouraged to take their studies seriously.
The fun didn’t end there as all present were treated to sumptuous meals amidst music and dancing. The heads of the Rising Star Orphanage also expressed their profound gratitude for the kind gesture.
