Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare |
According to her, when her husband, Lawrence Ofosu-Adjare, wanted to ask for her hand in marriage 16 years ago, he was only demanded to pay a dowry of 500,000 cedis (now ¢50).
The decision, she explained, was because her father stressed that her would-be husband only pays a token for her.
“He insisted the money be small. What he wants for them to take us away and take good care of us,” Mrs Ofosu-Adjare said.
