Following the news that Manchester City have agreed to make former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola their new man at the helm next season, the astronomical wages of the 19-time trophy winner have been revealed.

According to Deadline Day, Guardiola will earn £15.2 million a year as manager of Manchester City – an estimated £292,000-a-week.
Per talkSPORT stats from October, that number would be easily make him the highest paid manager in English football and would be almost four-times what Manuel Pellegrini is currently making as well as about 75% more than Arsene Wenger & Jose Mourinho (prior to his firing) were making.

Guardiola won the Champions League twice with Barcelona and five league titles between stints in La Liga and Bundesliga. He also has three League Cup and three national Super Cup wins.

On Monday morning, Manuel Pellegrini announced that his contract would not be renewed at the end of the 2015-16 season. Hours later, Man City announced on their website that Guardiola would take over the team starting with the 2016-17 season.
